What challenges did you encounter when managing affiliate operations?

Ben: There were certainly several operational hurdles that had a direct impact on our bottom line. One big challenge was the team could only locate traffic to a handful of our usual network partners due to limited bandwidth. We realized that we are losing out on our revenue potential as we are not leveraging our traffic with networks that offer the highest earnings per click (EPC).

Moreover, managing multiple affiliate networks required our team to use various Chrome extensions for link building, each with separate logins and processes. To handle this complexity, we maintained multiple training handbooks, which increased the likelihood of errors and extended the onboarding time for new hires.

Additionally, a significant amount of time was spent compiling performance data from multiple disparate reporting dashboards, further hindering our efficiency and productivity.

How was your onboarding experience?

Ben: The NucleusLinks team ensured smooth onboarding from the trial to the post-trial period. During the trial period, the team helped us identify merchants and provided complete assistance with the bulk uploading of 49 merchants. Based on our monetization needs, the NucleusLinks team suggested more than three networks with different deal types per merchant.

In the post-trial phase, we saw a 3X increase in merchant count and a 5X boost in link generation using the NucleusLinks Chrome Extension — in just four months. But what impressed us was that NucleusLinks came back with feature upgrades based on our feedback, such as introducing the Advanced Option to include additional parameters in the generated link and providing network preference for easier link creation by reducing the process from a 2-click to a single one.

How did NucleusLinks help you overcome your challenges?

Ben: Firstly, we could A/B test each network to account for real-time changes in EPCs, commissions, deal types, cancellation rates, and scrub rates. Based on these insights, NucleusLinks automated traffic allocation to the highest paying network for each merchant click, maximizing our revenue potential.
